She has performed as soloist and chamber musician throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia, and is a former member of Khemia Ensemble, a pierrot+ chamber group known for its immersive performances of contemporary music. Her discography includes Intersections (PARMA/Ravello Records), Khemia Ensemble's sophomore album, as well as the complete recording of Handel's violin sonatas. She has also recorded with the Fort Smith Symphony as their concertmaster, contributing to their Naxos world-premiere recordings of Florence Price's symphonies and of Louis Ballard's symphonic works, the first commercially distributed recording of the composer widely regarded as the first Native American concert composer.

Currently Professor of Violin at Chapman University's Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music, Kahng is a sought-after clinician, adjudicator, and speaker. Her artistic work often engages questions of identity, visibility, and heritage, with a particular focus on American composers whose voices have been historically marginalized.

Her newest solo album, Threaded Currencies, is an exploration of lineage, improvisation, and resonance: a threaded tapestry of blues, jazz, tango, folk, classical and electronic works for solo violin, available through PARMA/Navona Records.
